anne marie + JT / bay bombing
I flew up to the bay last year to photograph the wedding of Anne Marie and JT in Walnut Creek. The bridal party rolled around town in some sweet classic cars provided by the Bay Bombs Car Club, so you knew this wedding was going to be hot. We started the getting ready shots at the Renaissance Club Sport then went off to St. Anne's Church. We finished off the evening with the reception held at Shadelands Art Center where we kicked off the party old school. A big thanks to Bay Area photographer Delbarr Moradi for 2nd shooting with me, check out her blog post on the wedding to see some amazing details. View the wedding slideshow at the bottom of the post.
aileen + elson / happy feet
Last year I traveled up to Santa Monica to meet up with Aileen and Elson and we decided it would be best to photograph their engagement session on the hottest day of 2010. Haha, it was literally no sweat. We had a blast photographing around the grounds of the Santa Monica Museum of Art and their favorite restaurant, BOA steakhouse.
mary + eddy / san francisco art
A few weeks ago I went up to San Francisco for an engagement session with Mary and Eddy who both have impeccable style and taste. We started the session at their home, then went off to Blue Bottle on Mint Street and photographed around there. After our coffee fix, we darted to Golden Gate Park and beat the incoming fog to finish off our session at the De Young museum, which was a great way to end the day. We were joined by RJ of Apex Express, who was interviewing me and a few other photographers on our thoughts on love, its great to hear Mary, Eddy and myself talk about ourselves and our philosophies. Its a great program who is also in need of support to keep the great stories coming along, so feel free to make a donation on their website as you listen to us chat, we start around 23:00.
catherine + eric / wedding day
A great wedding I am finally blogging from last year, I had photographed Catherine's brothers wedding exactly a year before her own. Have you ever heard of siblings sharing the same wedding date? So I got to spend time with two of my couples on a special day and we had a blast up in Solvang, just a little north of Santa Barbara. We photographed the ceremony at the Old Mission Santa Ines then headed to the Firestone Vineyards for the bridals and finished up with the reception at the Hotel Corque. A big thank you to Anna Joy Photo for second shooting for me and also to Nancy of So Happi Together, who also posted a bunch of favorites on her blog as well.
I took a shot just like this for her brothers wedding, so had to redo it a year later!
