I landed in San Diego the day before the wedding and went to the baggage carousel and my bag never showed. I came in too late at night to buy clothes and had to drive up to Corona del Mar too early for anything to be open so I had to head to the wedding with the random clothes I had left at my parents home in San Diego. While the clothes I wear to a wedding is usually the last thing I care about, the traveling had made me a little more frazzled than usual.
But as soon as I entered Kristin's parents home for the getting ready photographs, all the stress and insecurities subsided because I was surrounded by some of the sweetest people I had met (and known, its my 4th wedding between the family/friend groups), so all I had to focus on was where to find the love. So a big thanks to Luis Godinez for being my right hand man for the day, Lauren from Christie Rose Events for making everything run so beautifully and Pottery Barn for decking out the designs.
You might want to also check out the Style Me Pretty feature of the wedding, so you can see all the pretty details there.
baby jordan / more than just a shoe
Did a maternity session with my cousin Geraldine, her boyfriend Chris, his daughter Kayla and the dude in the belly Jordan. Since she's my cousin, I had to enforce the "no nudity allowed" clause. Special thanks to Wilma of Lovely Jubilee for styling the shoot and Eugenia of Petit Plume for the hair accessories.
Yup, this is him, cute ain't he?
roses on the beach
I traveled up to Dana Point for a family session with amazing wedding photographer Ashley Rose, her husband Jeff and their little dude named Crew (oh what, J + Crew! Ashley doesn't work in this joke). We headed down to Salt Creek Beach and proceeded to get attacked by the sun, I think I did more crying than Crew did. But we had a blast and I am now witness to Crew's famous blank camera stare which I so happily captured. Enjoy some of my favorites from the day.
jomie + ricky / modern love
A few weeks ago I traveled up to Orange County for the wedding of Jomie and Ricky at the Orange County Center for Contemporary Art. Jomie and Ricky rocked the modern and minimalistic venue with the help of Christina of Simply Modern Weddings, who I might add is one of the funnest and raddest coordinators I have had the pleasure to work with! She's so rad she got us a feature on Green Wedding Shoes, which showcases so many of the great details that were on display. Another person who I want to give a big thanks to is my second photographer Marissa Rodriguez, who rocked the third camera as usual. On to the photos!
