Art and love. Love and art. Love is art. Suin and Jeffrey.
maddy & paul / stars and skies
When Maddy and Paul came in and told me how close they lived to Pok Pok in Brooklyn and said they would put my name down whenever I wanted, I had to make sure to photograph their wedding (still haven't collected on that guys). But really, these two are the sweetest and they brought everyone to share in their love. They even took me down to Love Lane, fitting, especially for them. Enjoy their photos and thanks to Shannon Sturgis for photographing this one with me.
ceremonia
A while back, I met with one of past brides, Keri, to chat all things creative. We talked about her passion project that she created with her friend Shelby, which was about creating an outlet for brides who just wanted more options when it comes to wedding wear. So Ceremonia was born. We had the same vision of vintage inspired weddings with a modern twist, so we put together a team to showcase some of the exclusive collections that they handpicked from Brooklyn based designers. So last month, we met at 501 Union to photograph the collection as well as just have some fun. I teamed up with Keri and her team (Eva and Tim), hair and makeup artist Kelsey Olivia, models Abby and Noelle, as well as my photo duo Sheena and Justin. Check out some of my favorite shots below as well as the exclusive collections on the Ceremonia website. At the bottom of the post is a link to Justin's blog, which has some awesome behind the scenes shots from the shoot.
elizabeth & justin / city classics
Elizabeth and Justin are one of my favorite couples, not only did they show me the Friends building when we shot their engagement (which is now relevant since I watch friends religiously as I work) but they also put their trust in me for all things photo related. Starting at the Waldorf Astoria then heading to Central Park, we then hit their ceremony at the Church of the Holy Family and the party began when we got to the Yale Club. Their wedding had all the makings of perfect NYC wedding and it didn't disappoint. A big thanks to Sheena Kim of Unique Lapin for always being my favorite person rocking the second camera. Our friends at Carats & Cake wanted to feature it, so check them out there as well and get all the details.
joanna & marcus / in the trees
Joanna and Marcus' wedding last June was a mix of classic New York and gorgeous traditions. The backdrop of the New York Botanical Garden is always one of my favorites, especially when you add in a stunning sunset. The Stone Mill housed their celebration as we partied into the night. A big thanks to Sheena Kim of Unique Lapin for always being my favorite person rocking the second camera. Enjoy.
