I love starting at my couples homes for their engagement sessions and when your home is a super modern apartment in the West Village, then sign me up. Emma and Michelle, I will live in your kitchen and pay rent, seriously.
a rising star of wedding photography
Totally honored to be named one of the 30 rising stars of wedding photography by Rangefinder magazine. To be included amongst such talented individuals is truly humbling and inspiring, it can only get better from here.

andrea & bryn / from whence they came
You might recognize Andrea & Bryn from their New York engagement on my homepage, which by the way, we photographed during a heatwave. Talk about a hot couple (pun intented). We scheduled the second half of their engagement session in the Bay area, specifically San Francisco and Marin, where they met. So here's a throwback to the beginning of their love story, with their awesome dog Patrick along for the ride.
rita on film
A few weeks ago I was in San Francisco for a wedding and brought my new (or old) Mamiya 645 to do some personal work. I had a few rolls left and I asked my old roommate Rita if I could snap some shots of her in hers and her husbands apartment. She happily obliged and we had some fun on film.
gillianne & neil / cooking soul
Chefs, I love them. Mostly because I love to eat. So when Gillianne and Neil wanted to do a cooking theme for their engagement, it was a no brainer. We headed to Sweet Lydias in Ocean Beach in San Diego to use her kitchen (it is a baking kitchen so it was much easier to move around!) then we headed over to Pacific Beach after to buy some fresh veggies for Neil to use.
