What happens when you put together a dope couple with a dope venue? You get a dope wedding. Cynthia and Eli's love for each other is apparent in every look and glance and it was my pleasure to capture it all. It also doesn't hurt that Refinery29 featured them as one of five of the best NYC weddings of 2014 and that they were also featured on Brooklyn Bride. With an all star team Brooklyn team of Naturally Delicious, August Sage & Violet, Morgan Gates, and Styles on B under the roof of 501 Union, I knew it was going to be just that. A big thanks to Silvia Foz for manning the 2nd camera and my favorite sprite of a videographer, Courtney of Love + Brain Films for capturing the moving love (see her highlight reel at the end of the post).
kate & steve / cityscapes
Kate and Steve were the most low key couple I have ever had the pleasure of working with. All they wanted were cool portraits and to showcase the party with their friends, what else could you ask for? How about an amazing backdrop for their portraits (the hotel and rooftop of The Nolitan Hotel) and the coolest party space for their wedding (PUBLIC)? With Michelle Elaine Weddings filling the space with great details, I knew this one would be a lot of fun. Also a big thanks to Shannon Sturgis for covering this one with me and if you want to see more details and the rest of the vendors, check out the feature on Ruffled.
cristelle & robert / land and sea
Big Sur, every photographers dream. Everyone's dreams actually. Since moving to New York I haven't had many opportunities to photograph in open spaces, so when Cristelle and Robert asked me to capture their nuptials, I jumped at the chance. I got bring my right hand man, Kim, with me so I knew we'd have a great time. I'll follow up this post with some personal film shots that I had taken on our journey. Enjoy the favorites.
claire & eric / bienvenue
I love the classic and dark looks of Manhattan weddings, so Claire and Eric's party was right up my alley. From Claire's gorgeous dress to Eric's sharp tux, everything in between was magic. They were wed at the Millesime restaurant in the Carlton Hotel in Manhattan, which set the backdrop to the mood. A big thanks to Kat Harris for photographing this one with me.
jessie & mike / speaking of
What happens when you have laryngitis on your wedding day? You exude your emotions to your family, friends and husband-to-be with everything but your voice. While Jessie may have had a hard time vocalizing herself, you wouldn't even be able to tell through her smile. Thanks to Shannon Sturgis for being alongside me as well as Danielle and Will of Danfredo Photo + Films for making a dope video, which you can see at the end of the post. Also, a big thanks to Wedding Party for featuring Jessie and Mike's nuptials, check out their blog for more photos and details as well as their app for all your wedding day needs.
