Chicago, you're pretty great. Especially that you hosted one great wedding with some amazing people. Also a bonus that I got to work with Velare Imaginarium for this one, view the motion at the end. Kristina and Tony everybody.
neshani & mathew / fate deciding
One of my best friends, Kim Robinson, was on a plane back to New York from California and sat next to a couple. He ends up chatting them up and becomes friends with them. He invites us all to his birthday party in Brooklyn, which consisted of us picking our favorite movie clips and we'd explain why and play it on a projector (which btw, was one of the greatest ideas ever). Kim had mentioned to me that they were engaged, so we setup a consultation to chat about their wedding. I find out that she is from San Diego as well and is planning to have her wedding in Balboa Park, the Central Park of San Diego. They would be my first New York couple getting married in San Diego, which has become a prevalent theme in a business since then.
While this can be a testament of how sociable my friend Kim is, it can also be looked at as a tale of fate. While all couples are fated to meet, can the people who capture their weddings be fated as well? In this case, I think it can be. So I'd like you to view the photos of Neshani and Mathew. Their wedding was a blending of love, culture and everything in between.

cynthia & mel / an open canvas
Last year, I went to Sonoma, CA for the epic party to celebrate the love of Cynthia and Mel. They told me that their venue, the Cornerstone Sonoma, had an ever changing installation of landscape art. And man, we had some fun with it. Thanks to Ari Simphoukham for coming up and helping me for the day.
humda & rizwan / circle of love
Late last year I headed down to the Baltimore harbor for the wedding of Humda and Rizwan. It was a gorgeous (and windy!) three day celebration of their union together. Respecting their culture, I have refrained from posting the ceremonies, so I leave you with some of my favorite candids and portraits. A big thanks to Danielle of Danfredo Photography for rocking the first two days with me.
heather & jason / in the trees
The New York Botanical Garden in the fall is a stunner. When you add in a gorgeous couple like Heather and Jason then it just becomes that much more gorgeous. Thanks to Erica Gannett and Bobby Joe Smith for the help.
