As I was editing Eunice and Jared's wedding, doing my usual color edits and such, there was just something about the whole day that was throwing me off. I would look at each photograph and say, "they look so classic." So I sent them them their photographs and would still look at the slideshow and something still didn't sit well with me, so I went through all their photographs and made them all black and white. I felt that Eunice and Jared had old souls, they come from a different era where love has no shades, you are either madly in love or not. It's black or white.
jenny + ry / one love for brooklyn
Brooklyn in the house, specifically the botanical gardens. Didn't have to travel too far from home to capture the love of Jenny and Ry at the Palm House. A gorgeous ceremony culminating with a crazy dance party, you know we couldn't go wrong. Working with an awesome team made it way more fun as well, so a big thanks to Jennifer Bobé for photographing with me and Renzo and Annika from Magic Flute Videos.
nikki + ren / color + culture
Last year, Kim and I had the opportunity to photograph the three day wedding ceremony of Nikki and Ren. The first two days were the traditional Cambodian wedding traditions, with the blessings and special ceremonies. While the last day was the party and man, did they party! But we had so much fun with everyone and it was definitely a wedding to remember or not remember, depending on how much Hennessy you drank, haha.
laura + jonathan / sing to me
When you mix a sweetheart couple with a musical family, you have one of the funnest receptions I've ever been to. Laura is a lucky lady to have someone who can serenade her anytime and man, can Jonathan belt it out. Laura, send me that wedding video! Thanks to Chanu of CIK Studios for photographing and taking me around Long Island. We had some fun photographing at the Old Westbury Gardens and Fox Hollow.
cindy + mark / old school vibes
Heres a fun one from last year, the nuptials of Cindy and Mark. We had originally seen them with their epic San Diego Airport engagement, now comes the full day of love. We spent the first half of the day in Old Town San Diego at the Hacienda Inn and the Immaculate Conception Church then headed to Admiral Baker clubhouse for the party. Thank you to Melissa Biador for 2nd shooting for me.
