Brooklyn in the house, specifically the botanical gardens. Didn't have to travel too far from home to capture the love of Jenny and Ry at the Palm House. A gorgeous ceremony culminating with a crazy dance party, you know we couldn't go wrong. Working with an awesome team made it way more fun as well, so a big thanks to Jennifer Bobé for photographing with me and Renzo and Annika from Magic Flute Videos.

When you mix a sweetheart couple with a musical family, you have one of the funnest receptions I've ever been to. Laura is a lucky lady to have someone who can serenade her anytime and man, can Jonathan belt it out. Laura, send me that wedding video! Just got back to San Diego for the holidays and of course I have to post up some photos from an engagement session I had a few weeks ago with Jordan and Daniel in New York City. We went around midtown and hit the sights, going to the always photogenic Grand Central Terminal and Central Park. What beats NYC in the fall?
melody + curtis / yay ever after
You might remember Melody and Curtis from their Philadelphia engagement session a few posts back, we now come full circle to their wedding day. I had met Melody and Curtis a few weeks after I moved to Brooklyn last year, they didn't know that I have moved to NY yet so when we setup the consultation, we realized we only lived a few blocks from each other! I call it fate. So come there wedding day I knew it would be amazing, I had an awesome second photographer in Chanu of CIK Studios and Tim and Steve from Velare Imaginarium (whose video you can see at the end of the post). It was such a great day that spanned from Bryant Park & Hotel in Manhattan then heading up to the Bronx to the New York Botanical Garden. Definitely loved this one, you can even check out the feature on Style Me Pretty and the lovely introductory writeup that sums up Melody and Curtis' wedding perfectly. Enjoy.

julie + andy / a year later in nyc
Heres a fun shoot I got to do last week with Julie and Andy! Julie is a fellow photographer out of Seattle and was visiting New York with her husband Andy, which happened to coincide with their one year wedding anniversary. So it was definitely an honor to photograph their anniversary session in Brooklyn, on what was probably one of most gorgeous days you can ask for. DUMBO provided the backdrop for this awesome couple, can't wait to hang with them in Seattle, enjoy.
