What happens when you do a sunrise shoot on a Sunday morning in Manhattan? Nothing. The beautiful emptiness of the city streets is intoxicating. Plus, the light is gorgeous. I had the opportunity to share these quiet moments with Christine and Ted, we photographed around Christine's neighborhood of East Village and her coffee shop down the street. We then drove up to the Cloisters to take the in the views of the Hudson. Excited for their wedding next month in Brooklyn with the always fabulous Jove Meyer. Till then.
brenda & justin / look back
Brenda and Justin always sneaking glances while running down the streets, in the market and through the crowds.
katelyn & kris / in the neighborhood
Some of my favorite weddings are the ones with no fuss, the ones where its just about the people and the emotion of the day. Katelyn and Kris had that idea, just have some fun taking photos, get married, then enjoy the eat and drink. They wanted to get married in their neighborhood of West Village before they jetted off to London for work, so they had their family and friends fly in from around the country to revel in their nuptials. We started at their home and then headed out to their favorite bar, Entwine, for a few snaps and drinks. We ended at Bobo where we met with everyone to lock in their love. So enjoy a view of their neighborhood.
laura & ryan / can't help but smile
When they say smile's are infectious, they must've been talking about Laura and Ryan. Have a great 2015 everyone.
kate & steve / cityscapes
Kate and Steve were the most low key couple I have ever had the pleasure of working with. All they wanted were cool portraits and to showcase the party with their friends, what else could you ask for? How about an amazing backdrop for their portraits (the hotel and rooftop of The Nolitan Hotel) and the coolest party space for their wedding (PUBLIC)? With Michelle Elaine Weddings filling the space with great details, I knew this one would be a lot of fun. Also a big thanks to Shannon Sturgis for covering this one with me and if you want to see more details and the rest of the vendors, check out the feature on Ruffled.
