Five dates. Five dates was the challenge that Christine and Ted's pastor issued to them to see if they were made for each other. And as you can see, they were. Along with the incomparable Jove Meyer, we descended upon DUMBO and 26 Bridge for one of the most gorgeous weddings I've ever been a part of. With the team of Kim Marcelo, A.P. Bio, and Real Food Catering, we were honored to grace the August/September issue of Brides Magazine.

Allan was one of the first friends I made in New York back in 2010 and we've been tight ever since. We've done a lot together in the last 6 years and him and Kat were actually instrumental in introducing me to Natalie, who is now my fiancée. So to say I love these two and owe them a lot is an understatement. With Kat and Allan being together for over 10+ years, when he told me he was ready to marry Kat, I knew my gift for them would be to photograph their wedding and portraits.
Natalie and I headed over to Kat and Allan's place in Clinton Hill where I photographed them getting ready and Natalie started with Kat's hair and makeup. With Kat working as a designer at Steve Madden, her shoes were specially designed just for the wedding. After their first look, we headed out on a rainy day in April to head to the marriage bureau in Manhattan. Joined by his awesome bosses and friends from the showroom he works at, Nutty Rice, we celebrated their love. A few days later, we went over to Black Bear Bar in Williamsburg to party even more, it was the perfect wedding for a perfect pair.
Last year, I got to hang out with Vanessa, Taylor and all their friends and family in Brooklyn. From hanging with Taylor in their old apartment in Bed-Stuy, to seeing Vanessa getting glammed up at the Wythe Hotel, it was so apparent how excited they were to see each other for the first time. Enjoy the photos of their love and their awesome dance party at Lot 45. A big thanks to Sheena Kim of Unique Lapin for always being my favorite person rocking the second camera.
Even if you've known someone for years, experiencing all the love and devotion that surrounds those people on their wedding day can still leave you in awe. Case in point, the lovely Ashley, Ritz, and their dog Howl. I have known them since high school and we've remained friends throughout the years. So I've seen the loyalties grow (as well as fall) but the family, friends and even vendors that helped usher in their wedding, we all came together to experience an amazing night. It was put together beautifully by the team at Urban Shindigs, so feel free to view so much more on Ashley and Ritz's feature on Bridal Musings today. A big thanks to Stephanie Yang for shooting this one with me (and who's wedding I'll be featuring soon!) as well Ren & Rob, my favorite San Diego cinematographers.
